Founders are responsible in talking to the costumers to provide relevant and important information about the product. A business and product will not be successful without a founder who doesn’t have any confidence and trust on their selves in communicating with their costumers. According to the lecture about Tech 101 it stated that there are several things that makes the company fail not only in building the product but also in communicating with the costumers. In order to build a product a founder must talk and talk to the costumers in everyway to convince the costumers about your product.

THE MOM TEST

1. Talk about their life, not your idea. In talking with the costumers, a founder must know the relevance of the products towards the costumers perspective and he or she must not base his or her presentations in personal matters for the costumers doesn’t want a storytelling but rather to know how does the product affect their lives.
2. Talk specifics, not hypotheticals. Founders must consider the golden rule “Honesty is the best Policy”, founders must not base his talk on assumptions and what if’s for it might lead to costumer’s confusion about the product being talked about. We must also consider that all of the costumers want facts and facts only.
3. Why was that hard? Some costumers doesn’t buy what and how rather than they will consider buying why. Why does the product help them a lot and why does it has a great impact on their lives. We must consider asking ourselves first about the question why for some costumers wants to hear the question for it might get confusing sometimes.
4. What have you done already to solve the problem? The founder must also consider this type of questions for some costumers also wants to hear something about how will it affects the environment or is it an answer towards a specific issue we are currently facing in today’s era. Founder must also consider that his or her product must be significant to the society to attract more costumers.
5. What don’t you love about the solutions you’ve tried? Here the founder must address what kind of problems did he or she encountered in the previous solution used to solve the problem. For product making will always have downfalls or failures upon making the products.

In conclusion, the lecture series taught us how to become an effective founder towards the business field. Communication will always have a role in the society most especially in the field of economy for it will help us to connect to our costumer and even to a possible investors. We must not give a review that is full of lies rather than give the facts about your product.
